Hi there!  

Laura here, from Columbus, Ohio where I’ve lived for the past 15 years. (Go Bucks!) Prior to living in Ohio, I lived in Eastern North Carolina (Go Pirates!) and Western Pennsylvania (Go Steelers!).    

I’ve always LOVED traveling, architecture, and hosting friends from out of town.  During the day I work as a program manager at a software company.   

Growing up my mom had this dream of running a Bed & Breakfast and she completely sold me on the magic of it.  I’m now a vacation rental host and I couldn’t be happier.   My mom was never able to complete her B&B dream because she had a stroke which left her paralyzed. But I am now able to live out her dream and mine! My favorite thing about being a host is being able to help others create memories that last forever!  

I love running outside in new places, especially in races - that way I don’t get lost. I just competed in my second triathlon too! During the pandemic, I started building custom furniture. You’ll notice some of my pieces in Bearfoot by the River!   With past jobs, I’ve been able to travel throughout the US and I have been to many other countries with some of my favorites being Portugal, Australia, and Austria.    

I’ll do my best to make your stay comfortable and help you enjoy this awesome area to the fullest! I look forward to making this a 5-star stay for you!
